WinUI 3 uses Platform Uno, a competitor of Skia, which makes WinUI 3 a competitor of Flutter. WinUI 1 is coupled to Windows 8, WinUI 2 is coupled to Windows 10, but WinUI 3 (not yet released) is decoupled completely from Windows to support all the targets of. WPF was built on top of Direct3D, WPF was backported to Windows XP since the initial release, and during the release of Windows 8 WPF was "updated" by creating a new project (think of the Angular 1 to Angular 2 update), but instead of preserving the WPF name Microsoft decided to give it new name: WinUI. So for a moment, forget all of your prejudices against Microsoft and let's talk about the UI framework from Windows Vista: WPF. If I wanted to annoy you I would say that I'm flattered that you see my prediction skills as bending reality, but they're just educated guesses, but at this point it's pretty evident we don't have the same context, you have not seen a UI project executed outside of Google, so you only base your judgment on trusting Google blindly.
